Un-bearable role for Hugh Grant in ‘Morgans’ Dec

While Sarah and I knew and liked each other, we had decided we really should have dinner — just to confirm what I pretty much already knew: That we could do that comedy Ping-Pong thing you need for a film like this.”

So, even though the dinner went ‘’swimmingly,” as Grant put it, the duo e-mailed Lawrence separately, ”teasing Marc — and a few others in Hollywood — saying the dinner had been a disaster, that I got drunk and rude, made racist comments and even tried to sexually molest Sarah Jessica!”

For Grant, the amazing thing was ”they all believed it! These are people who have known me for years; you’d think they would have gotten the joke!”

That said, the actor claimed he was amused by one aspect of that dinner. ”Even though Sarah and I had worked together a few years ago, she pretended she didn’t remember it.

”Maybe it was because I was also a producer on the film and under a lot of pressure on that one — plus we really didn’t spend much time together on that,” Grant said about filming the thriller ”Extreme Measures.”

Making ”Did You Hear About the Morgans?” was very different for the Englishman. ”I had never really spent much time — at all — in the real American West, so that was a new experience for me.”

While much of the movie is set in Wyoming, the filming actually took place near Santa Fe, N.M., ”which certainly qualifies as the West,” Grant said.

In the film, Grant and Parker play a separated couple in a troubled marriage, forced to enter the witness protection program. They’re being chased by a professional hitman, who realized they had seen him carrying out a contract killing in New York.

HUGH Grant will be in Sydney later this month to attend the Australian launch of his latest film, Did You Hear About The Morgans.

Grant, who received a touch-up this week because the movie’s airbrushed poster shows him looking decades younger than his 49-years, will attend the launch at George St’s Event Cinemas on December 22.

Grant plays the estranged husband of Sarah Jessica Parker.

The pair witness a murder in New York and as a result are relocated to small-town Wyoming as part of a witness protection program.

Hugh Grant fears becoming a ‘lonely, sad old man’ Dec

The star of Notting Hill and Four Weddings and a Funeral, who turns 50 next September and has had a number of high profile relationships, including Liz Hurley and Jemima Khan, fears he is growing old.

“Fifty’s not a good number and we all have age terror sometimes in the middle of the night,” he told The Daily Mirror.

“I think I might have made a sort of pact with the devil in which I think I can have fun now and sort everything later. But then he comes back and says, ‘Time’s up and I’m taking you to hell as you’re going to be a lonely, sad old man.

“I do worry that could happen to me. To be honest, I don’t feel that old. I think I’m rather young and sprightly but then you see pictures of yourself and think, ‘Who is that old man?’ and I realise I’m not as young as I thought I was.”

Grant, who has also starred in About A Boy and Bridget Jones, added that he believes he suffers from “love avoidance”, where he backs off from relationships when they become too serious.

“It happens when you draw someone in and then you push them away as soon as they get too close. Then you bring them back and push them away again.

“I look at life and I see some very happy relationships but I also see the vast majority at not being that happy.

He may be getting on in the years but Hugh Grant’s latest movie poster appears to be based on how the actor looked 10 years ago.
The 49-year-old took his life in his hands when he appeared at the premiere of his new film Did You Hear About The Morgans? at the Hotel De Rome in Berlin.
Standing in front of the huge, 7ft high poster it was clearly evident that some work had been done on his face in comparison with how the British actor looks in the flesh.

Thanks to The Daily Mail.
